FAQs for SUP Yoga Classes & Events
What is a stand-up paddleboard?
A SUP is a wide, stable 10-foot board, like a giant surfboard, perfect for yoga. We use premium boards—stand, kneel, or sit to paddle. In SUP yoga, it’s your floating mat, anchored to keep you steady, ready for raw, vibrant flows.
I've never paddleboarded before. Can I do SUP yoga?
Absolutely! Our classes are beginner-friendly, with a quick on-land paddle lesson to get you moving. No perfection needed—just dive into the gritty, joyful adventure and find your balance with the pack.
Will I fall in during SUP yoga?
Falling’s possible and part of the fun! Our classes ease you in, but a splash can refresh your bold moves. Once the fear fades, poses feel thrilling. We’re here to support your playful, spotted vibe on the water.
What should I wear for SUP yoga?
Wear quick-dry, comfy clothes that move freely—legs and feet will get wet, maybe your upper body too. Go barefoot or wear water shoes; bring shoes for the walk to launch, stored safely on your board.
What to bring on a SUP yoga adventure?
Pack sunscreen, sunglasses with straps, a refillable water bottle, cash for Folsom park fees, a hat, towel, change of clothes, and your adventurous spirit. Leave perfection behind—embrace the sweaty, joyful plunge.
Do I need to be able to swim for SUP yoga?
Yes, you must swim unassisted for safety. We provide Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs)—wear one if you’re not confident. For a tailored experience, book a private session to paddle and flow with bold, spotted energy.
What is the age requirement for SUP yoga?
Kids 13-17 can join with an adult and must swim. Parents sign the liability waiver. Bring your family pack for a thrilling, no-perfection-needed adventure on the water.
