Yoga Nidra in Folsom: The SoulNap Ritual

You're not exhausted because your life is full. You're exhausted because you never fully stop.

You collapse on the couch, scroll until your eyes burn, and call it rest. You "take the weekend off" and spend it catching up. That isn't rest. That's a treadmill with the lights dimmed.

Rest is a skill, and most of us are terrible at it. We treat recovery like a reward we haven't earned yet — which is to say: never.

But what if the strongest thing you do this month isn't a workout? What if it's lying down, on purpose, in a room full of people doing the same thing?

Yoga Nidra, minus the mystery

SoulNap is our monthly Yoga Nidra ritual — and it might be the most underrated hour on our entire schedule.

The whole assignment: you lie down. A teacher guides you through systematic breath and visualization into "conscious sleep." Body powers down; awareness stays lightly on. Sixty minutes. Non-heated room. Every level welcome.

No pretzel shapes. No performance. Just deliberate stillness.

We hold it on the last Thursday of every month — the next one is Thursday, October 29 at 7:30 PM, led by Lena Morton. On the calendar, non-negotiable. Recovery isn't the opposite of the work. It's part of the work.

Your move

The next SoulNap is Thursday, October 29 at 7:30 PM. Book your spot now — the pack has figured out that rest is a strategy, not a weakness.

And if one hour of stillness sounds good in October, imagine a full week of it — take a look at what's coming on our retreats.

Power down. The pack's got the lights.
